Compassion Night of Worship with Nate Marialke and Compassion International

Before the worship service started, Mac was broadcasting live from the lobby for WMUZ’s Church on the Go from 4-7 and interviewed various staff and members of the church including Nate Marialke.

We had an incredible turnout at Rochester Christian Church on Friday evening! Bob and Mac opened the evening in prayer and gave a few short stories about their experiences abroad. They highlighted the realization that they both had when they were on their Compassion Missions of being completely vulnerable to the conditions of how other people live.

Bob told the story of a sick woman and how she was waiting for her daughter to turn 10. She said that once her daughter turned 10, her daughter could be of age to support their family once she died.

The stories told throughout the evening either about Compassion International or about God’s love and protection were convicting and heightened the emotional atmosphere in the room.

The band was phenomenal and played worships songs by a collection of famous artists including original songs by Nate himself. The evening closed out with Nate and the band playing Nate’s new single, “Kingdom Break Through.”

The evening was a success with almost 20 high risk children getting sponsored along with generous donations from attendees for Compassion International. Learn more about Compassion International here.

The 30th Anniversary Law Day of Goodwin & Scieszka had their highest turnout yet as the afternoon progressed with upbeat live music, laughter and lots of free stuff! Free law advice from top-notch lawyers, free bike helmets and safety tips for the kids, giveaways including Tiger’s tickets, free food and incredible live music all in a fun and welcoming atmosphere created a leisurely afternoon for all the Law Day guests.

Scott Goodwin and Jim Scieszka have grown Law Day into a successful annual event and with the help of the WMUZ personalities and team, Law Day has taken off as one of the most anticipated events of the year for both Goodwin & Scieszka and WMUZ.
